Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, supervise, and control all phases of higher education industry client engagements
Plan engagement timing, staffing, and execution of assurance engagements
Lead decision-making for assigned engagements and clients
Keep the Engagement Principal informed of major decisions and engagement progress
Develop trained and accountable teams through recruiting, assignment planning, problem resolution, consultation, performance evaluation, and professional development instruction
Supervise preparation of engagement letters and discuss assignment terms with clients
Estimate fees and ensure signed engagement letters are returned before work begins
Evaluate and revise internal controls and audit programs
Monitor engagement progress, time budgets, and deadlines
Communicate developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the Engagement Principal
Maintain ongoing communication with client management and prepare for final client meetings

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
6+ years of public accounting experience
Experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management preferred
CPA required
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships
Ability to show strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
