About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team
- Identify and implement best practices related to provided services
- Work with clients to set financial policy and drive overall strategy
- Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board interactions
- Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting
- Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management
- Monitor budgets and present operational metrics
- Ensure financial staff maintain financial record systems in accordance with appropriate principles
- Monitor the use of funds
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial accounting
- Coordinate audit activities
- Manage multiple client engagements
- Build strong client relationships and participate as a key member of client management teams
- Develop external business networks and become a service and industry thought leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct highly preferred
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in multitasking
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple client engagements
- Local travel to/from client sites required
- Occasional non-local or overnight travel may be required
