About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and deep understanding of financial and operational aspects of the technology industry
- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
- Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities
- Prepare financial information
- Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, and regulatory reports
- Evaluate procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make recommendations
- Monitor ratios and key performance indicators (KPI)
- Monitor and evaluate accounting and other financial staff performance, recommending and implementing actions
- Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
- Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors, and constituents; prepare for and/or host board presentations
- Help healthcare clients transform their businesses through collaborative Client Accounting & Advisory Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree is required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
- 7 years relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required
- Relevant experience in the Healthcare industry is highly preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred but not required
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
- Thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems
- Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite is highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and applicable software
- Frequent local travel to/from local area client sites required
- Occasional non-local or overnight travel may be required
