About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the Controller for designated nonprofit clients
  • Serve as consultant and advisor on accounting and finance-related best practices
  • Manage multiple clients, projects, workstreams, and deadlines
  • Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations
  • Foster and build opportunities and attend industry-leading events and trainings
  • Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal and state directives, and current accounting standards
  • Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Eight years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in Nonprofit is highly preferred
  • CPA certification preferred but not required
  • Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
