About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop an understanding of each client’s business or organization operations
- Manage multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll transactions
- Coordinate and review account reconciliations
- Complete complex account reconciliations
- Prepare, understand, and review financial statements
- Review general ledger, cash flow, allocations, and related accounting activity
- Create process and procedure documentation and build backup
- Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s
- Prepare audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other client-requested forms or items
- Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts
- Supervise Associates and Analysts to ensure efficiency and quality
- Assist with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Ability to manage multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts
- Experience with accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll transactions
- Experience with account reconciliations, including prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, investments, debt, and industry-specific accounts
- Ability to prepare, understand, and review financial statements
- Experience with general ledger, cash flow, allocations, sales tax returns, Form 1099s, audit workpapers, and tax return workpapers
- Ability to oversee and supervise Associates and Analysts
- Experience with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, or consultative projects
