About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and manage day-to-day activities of audit engagements with construction clients from start to finish
- Manage engagement budgets and planning
- Conduct fieldwork and direct staff
- Complete financial statements and related disclosures
- Review client accounting and operating procedures
- Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls
- Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable condition correspondence letters
- Communicate technical matters proactively and effectively with staff, management, and clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred
- 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations
- Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Infrequent overnight travel may be required
