About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and manage day-to-day activities of audit engagements with construction clients from start to finish
  • Manage audit budgets, planning, fieldwork, staff direction, and completion of financial statements and related disclosures
  • Review client accounting and operating procedures
  • Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls
  • Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable condition correspondence letters
  • Communicate technical matters proactively and effectively with staff, management, and clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred
  • 2 years of public accounting audit experience required
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred
  • Ability to travel to client sites
  • Infrequent overnight travel may be required
