About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks
- Design and implement security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and data protection strategies
- Install, configure, and upgrade security software, including antivirus programs
- Secure networks through firewalls, password protection, and other systems
- Conduct hardware security inspections and ensure system hardening
- Monitor network activity for threats and respond to incidents
- Act on privacy breaches and malware threats
- Provide security expertise and training to internal employees
- Support the development of security policies and guidelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 Year Degree
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field required
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of security frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Knowledge of risk management and intrusion prevention systems, including TippingPoint
- Familiarity with PKI, SSL/TLS and patch management practices
- Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure
- Experience with CrowdStrike and Splunk is required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Programming skills are preferred, such as C#, PHP, or .Net
- Professional certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM, is a plus or able to obtain within first year of employment
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks
