About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and own the architecture for cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI
- Lead development of core mobile application features using C#, .NET, and XAML
- Implement responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces for Android and iOS
- Oversee integrations with RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, secure local data storage, and offline synchronization mechanisms
- Establish coding standards, perform architecture and code reviews, and ensure security, performance, and stability
- Own the end-to-end mobile application lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, build automation, versioning, signing, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Mentor senior and junior engineers and support technical decision-making
- Partner with product owners, backend teams, QA, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on experience building and maintaining mobile applications
- Proven experience delivering production-grade Android and iOS applications
- Deep understanding of MVVM, clean architecture principles, and modern mobile design patterns
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and XAML
- Experience with a modern mobile development framework or technology stack, such as native Android/iOS development, Xamarin.Forms, .NET MAUI, React Native, or an equivalent solution
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, third-party services, and secure local data storage solutions
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices for mobile application delivery
- Demonstrated experience using agentic AI coding tools to plan, implement, test, debug, and refactor code as part of day-to-day software development
- Experience making architectural decisions, reviewing code, troubleshooting complex issues, and guiding engineering teams toward scalable solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms is nice to have
- Experience developing mobile applications in regulated environments or for healthcare and clinical research is nice to have
