About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and articulate the program’s long-term vision, goals, and deliverables
  • Align the program with the overall mission support strategy and follow-on field support plan
  • Establish the program vision, strategy, outcome-driven integrated roadmap, and product/project/program backlog
  • Manage sensor integration, resilient gateway routing, tactical data management, and DevSecOps/cybersecurity/cloud support efforts
  • Facilitate meetings with team members and stakeholders
  • Communicate program vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog to audiences at all levels, including senior executives and commanders
  • Make timely, informed decisions on features, scope, and priorities
  • Identify pain points and opportunities and drive resolutions
  • Lead and influence a balanced cross-functional team in daily activities
  • Maintain and prioritize the program backlog
  • Document operational requirements and experiences
  • Write user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Champion user-centered design internally and with customers
  • Collect requirements and manage requirements traceability matrices
  • Bridge stakeholders and development teams
  • Manage release/deployment planning, acceptance testing, feedback handling, risk, team resources, lean project management, collaboration, and quality management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in Program/Product Management
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Lean Project Management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading projects/programs from idea to market/IOC to FOC
  • Experience with user-centered design, concept and usability testing, and other research methods
  • Experience in stakeholder management, communication, and presentation
  • Experience working in a balanced team to build, measure, and learn
  • Experience working in a rapid and iterative development environment
  • Experience balancing customer and user feedback to create desirable solutions
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be eligible to hold a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Secret security clearance is required
  • Preferred: Knowledge of US Air Force emerging technologies
  • Preferred: Experience providing input on program decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops
  • Preferred: Experience in the design and/or development of full-service applications
