About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver creative business solutions to clients in the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries
- Work with staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors at all levels
- Create original concepts for projects using advanced analytical and conceptual skills
- Design and develop platforms for scalable solutions
- Provide technical expertise on current and emerging technologies, trends, and practices
- Anticipate internal and external business challenges, including regulations
- Recommend process, product, or service enhancements
- Design, prototype, and develop Big Data Platforms using Azure or AWS
- Translate business goals and objectives into architectural strategies and technical solutions
- Serve in a lead capacity on client initiatives
- Mentor junior Data Architects and Data Engineers on the analytics team
- Assist in defining and managing client solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with data management solutions using data lake platform tools and technologies
- Experience with data architecture supporting data warehousing, business intelligence, master data management, and reference data management
- Familiarity with Data as a Service (DaaS) concepts and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS-based data and data management tools, including Azure SQL, Azure Data Catalog, Azure Service Fabric, and microservices
- Familiarity with TOGAF or another recognized architecture framework
- Working knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, or similar development and operations methodologies
- Familiarity with developing data catalogues and integrating with enterprise architecture
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and process automation
- Experience using data modeling techniques for data integration
- Experience working with staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors
- Significant experience analyzing business processes and functions
- Significant experience as an engineer or technical subject matter expert in at least two of infrastructure, data, application, or security technologies
- Skill creating system diagrams for technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to develop and apply architectural governance
- Skill applying innovative approaches to technical design issues
- Ability to anticipate business challenges, including regulatory challenges, and recommend enhancements
- Ability to provide technical expertise in current and emerging technologies
- 4-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
- Ability to travel an estimated 30–50%
