About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build internal products that accelerate Clay's go-to-market teams
  • Own projects end-to-end, from discovery and prototyping through production and long-term ownership
  • Partner directly with GTM teams to identify high-leverage opportunities
  • Build AI-native workflows using Clay, LLMs, and modern automation frameworks
  • Design integrations across Clay, Salesforce, Snowflake, Slack, internal APIs, and other business systems
  • Create tooling and platforms that enable rapid experimentation across the business
  • Help define modern GTM Engineering as AI transforms go-to-market
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to understand workflows and build software that improves them

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience building production software
  • Fluency in TypeScript or Python
  • Comfortable working across the full stack
  • Experience building internal tools, workflow automation, developer platforms, or customer-facing products
  • Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs and modern AI tooling
  • Experience working directly with end users and iterating based on feedback
  • Product-builder mindset
  • Ability to take ownership, move quickly, and bias toward shipping
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving startup environments
  • U.S. work authorization required; must answer whether sponsorship is needed
  • Role can be based in NYC or SF, or pursued fully remote
