About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the team with project development in the renewable energy field
- Collaborate with clients, CEC colleagues, and other professionals on project development matters
- Adhere to Firm policies, practices, and priorities
- Perform other duties as requested by Firm management
- Draft and negotiate renewable energy contracts such as EPCs, O&Ms, and PPAs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally 7-10 years’ experience at a law firm
- Ideally experience in a practice serving clients in the renewable energy and related industries
- Experience negotiating traditional renewable energy contracts, including EPCs, O&Ms, and PPAs
- Strong deal management, organization, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Team-focused outlook with a focus on mentoring junior attorneys
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a remote work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under strict deadlines and pressure
- Admission to and good standing with the Bar of the applicant’s state of residence
- Dedication to the firm’s mission
- Excellent academic credentials
- Ability to work remotely from wherever licensed to practice law
