About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all phases of client programs from inception to completion
  • Manage gas-focused energy efficiency and decarbonization programs for leading gas utilities
  • Navigate utility portfolio complexity and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Ensure seamless program delivery and exceptional client satisfaction
  • Manage multiple contracts and budgets totaling $2M–$3M annually
  • Negotiate, execute, and oversee contracts
  • Lead and develop program staff and direct cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate resources across engineering, marketing, and software
  • Monitor performance, report results, and maintain high customer service standards
  • Review technical documents and compile data for invoicing and reporting
  • Identify and escalate program issues and recommend process improvements
  • Conduct client site visits primarily in Naperville, Illinois, and throughout the Nicor service territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–8 years of program management experience
  • At least 2 years in people management
  • Program Management experience in Energy Efficiency is a plus
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a positive attitude
  • Skilled at analyzing historical data to develop strategic plans and contingency solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Salesforce/CRM experience is an asset
  • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks
