About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet with commercial and industrial business owners and operators
  • Install energy efficiency measures
  • Conduct entry-level commercial energy audits for small and mid-sized facilities
  • Perform pre- and post-installation verifications
  • Conduct technical data gathering activities throughout a defined territory
  • Engage directly with customers and contractors to explain program offerings and encourage participation
  • Address basic customer questions
  • Document inspections, installations, and customer interactions according to program requirements
  • Perform on-site installation involving physical labor and basic tools
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate basic technical or installation issues to program staff
  • Travel daily throughout the defined territory
  • Service customers in the field Monday through Friday, generally 8 AM–5 PM Central Time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Entry-level position
  • Experience in industries such as construction, facility maintenance or installation
  • Customer service skills
  • Successful candidates will reside in or around central to northern Louisiana, including as far north as Monroe, LA
  • Ability to travel daily throughout a defined territory
  • Ability to conduct physical labor, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder
  • Ability to use power tools and basic tools
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment, with a driving record meeting CLEAResult’s minimum safety standard
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle report and clean driving record as an ongoing requirement
  • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with applicable transportation regulations
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship
