About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide individualized, ongoing support to property owners and contractors via phone and email
  • Support project conversion and contract compliance
  • Troubleshoot customer and contractor questions and guide them on program requirements
  • Complete rebate processing, calculations, data entry, and QA/QC documentation review
  • Record customer and contractor interactions for program tracking and reporting
  • Independently manage a steady, high volume of phone calls and emails in a remote setting
  • Balance and prioritize phone and email interactions throughout the day
  • Travel occasionally, around twice a year, for local, optional in-person program or contractor events if based in the area
  • Guide homeowners and contractors through eligibility, paperwork, program qualifications, project completion, upgrades, incentives, and rebates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience; customer service or high-volume communication experience is highly valued
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems, including Microsoft Office, and general technology
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Genuine interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, or helping customers
  • No specific degree or major required
  • Detail-oriented approach to resolving rebate and calculation issues
  • Patience and adaptability for longer, in-depth customer conversations
  • Ability to meet applicable DOT qualification requirements, if applicable
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks
