About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted finance partner and lead for assigned shared services teams, delivering financial analysis covering revenue, labor, and expenses
- Manage the monthly close process and post accruals and reclassification entries as needed
- Conduct variance analysis and reconciliations against forecasts and annual plans
- Deliver insightful analysis and risk-mitigation recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build budgets, track spending, and align with annual plans
- Create financial models and conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Interpret results and recommend actions to management
- Act as a liaison between shared services teams and Corporate
- Drive the annual strategic planning process
- Maintain historical financial records and analyze trends to inform budgetary policy
- Prepare monthly financial review packages for management
- Comment on variances to plan, forecast, and prior-year results
- Support management initiatives such as process standardization
- Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of applicable experience in finance or business analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred, and/or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing month-end close processes with accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- MS Office, with strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Preferred: Experience with ERP/financial systems, budgeting and forecasting tools (e.g., Adaptive), and other tools as defined by the specific position
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support
- Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations
