About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Guide industrial energy teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing energy efficiency opportunities
Coach experienced program participants through workshops and one-on-one support
Help participants apply continuous improvement to energy management
Mentor new SEM Coaches
Facilitate training workshops, onsite energy audits, and one-on-one sessions
Conduct site walk-throughs to identify energy savings opportunities
Analyze industrial process performance using monitoring equipment and statistical analysis
Guide development of continuous improvement plans and site improvement plans
Write reports for technical and non-technical audiences
Help develop workshop content and program materials
Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, panels, and forums
Travel to participant sites

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of hands-on experience in industrial and/or commercial environments
Engineering background, or a related technical or science field
Experience in a role related to energy efficiency improvement is an asset
Working knowledge of industrial systems such as motors, compressed air, lighting, refrigeration, boilers, and some HVAC
Ability to perform technical calculations
Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
Experience working with participants or stakeholders in technical environments
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including data analysis and presentation development
CEM, P.Eng., Lean Six Sigma, or a similar designation is an asset
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to participant sites
Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship or support
Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks
If applicable, meet Canadian commercial driving qualification, licensing, medical, compliance, hours-of-service, and safety fitness requirements
