About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with prospective clients
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed annual new business funding targets
  • Leverage industry networks, referral sources, and marketing strategies to generate a pipeline of qualified leads
  • Conduct needs assessments and present tailored financing solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and industry associations
  • Represent the Structured Finance Division at conferences, trade shows, and networking events
  • Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and credit teams to structure and close deals
  • Ensure deals align with credit policies and risk appetite
  • Negotiate client terms and pricing while focusing on profitability and client satisfaction
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and the factoring and ABL landscape
  • Provide leadership feedback on market conditions and product or service enhancements
  • Maintain a robust pipeline with defined stages and next steps
  • Generate a balanced portfolio across industries and credit profiles
  • Support environmental, social, economic, and racial justice commitments
  • Collaborate with Compliance on suspicious activity and potentially fraudulent activity investigations
  • Stay informed on legal and regulatory requirements and complete compliance and IT training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in factoring, ABL, or commercial finance
  • Strong knowledge of factoring and ABL products, including underwriting and credit analysis principles
  • Broad knowledge of business banking products and services
  • Strong proficiency in CRM tools and financial analysis software
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • Willingness to pursue and demonstrate understanding of established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Must stay informed and compliant with BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC requirements
  • Must complete web-based compliance and IT training
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
