About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop presentations, briefs, memos, pre-reads, and talking points for senior leaders
- Produce board-, CEO-, and donor-facing presentations
- Translate cost-effectiveness analysis and market and epidemiological data into accessible narratives
- Lead cross-cutting projects sponsored by the VP
- Provide surge support on urgent VP priorities, including project managing investment cases
- Track project milestones, owners, and dependencies
- Coordinate consultants, vendors, and external inputs
- Identify gaps, troubleshoot challenges, and resolve issues with cluster leadership
- Develop donor-facing concept notes, proposals, budget narratives, and pitch decks
- Prepare the VP for donor and partner meetings and track follow-up actions
- Serve as the VP's strategic partner through analyses and actionable recommendations
- Help prioritize the VP's time and competing demands
- Connect the cluster's OKR process to the VP's agenda
- Triage incoming requests to the VP's office
- Prepare the VP for CEO, board, senior leadership, and partner engagements
- Follow up on agreed actions, identify blockers, and escalate issues
- Build relationships across HIV, TB, and Hepatitis leadership and the wider organization
- Manage cluster leadership meeting agendas, decisions, and follow-ups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- Six or more years of professional experience as a guide in management consulting, global health, strategy, operations, or a comparable environment
- Exceptional PowerPoint skills and demonstrated ability to independently build executive-quality decks
- Experience creating concept notes, briefs, talking points, proposals, and pitch decks
- Strong visual and data storytelling skills
- Strong technical writing and executive-level synthesis skills
- Sound judgment regarding confidentiality and sensitive communications
- Fluency with AI tools for research, synthesis, and drafting, with ability to verify outputs
- Proven project management ability across diverse stakeholders and complex projects
- Experience developing fundraising or business-development materials
- Exceptional research, writing, and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to create structure for new or loosely defined work
- Ability to manage up, take initiative, and work effectively with senior leaders
- Candour and willingness to disagree with the VP
- Deep commitment to CHAI's mission and values
- Advantageous: experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, pharma, HIV, TB, hepatitis, infectious-disease programming, market shaping, procurement, access to medicines, social-impact fundraising, remote decentralized teams, or low- and middle-income countries
