About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support regulatory approval for Lenacapavir through Indonesia's BPOM/Special Access Scheme and submit the implementation research protocol for IRB ethical review
- Coordinate procurement and distribution of Lenacapavir to approximately 20 study sites across West and East Java
- Track related budgets and expenses in line with CHAI and donor financial requirements
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation framework with the Ministry of Health
- Support routine data extraction from SI PrEP and/or SIHA to track Lenacapavir uptake and continuation
- Plan and deliver training for healthcare workers and civil society organizations on Lenacapavir service delivery
- Support implementation research activities at community/private clinics and key-population-friendly public health centers
- Help ensure data quality for study uptake and continuation outcomes
- Coordinate provider surveys and key informant interviews
- Support demand generation and community engagement activities for key populations
- Build relationships with the Ministry of Health, BPOM, IRB/ethics committees, study sites, and CSO partners
- Represent CHAI at technical working groups and coordination forums as delegated
- Prepare written updates, presentations, and technical materials for internal stakeholders, the Ministry of Health, and the donor
- Identify data or process issues and recommend practical solutions, escalating as needed
- Interpret and explain program guidance, protocols, and procedures to team members, consultants, site staff, and CSO partners
- Contribute to broader CHAI Indonesia initiatives and cross-programmatic learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field
- Minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience, ideally in HIV/AIDS, public health programs, or implementation/operations research
- Ability to apply basic project management concepts with some guidance from a supervisor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify data or process issues and recommend practical, data-informed solutions
- Experience gathering, reviewing, and validating program or health service data, with high attention to quality and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities across concurrent workstreams
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage sensitively and without stigma with key populations such as MSM/TGW, PWID, and FSW
- Willingness to travel to study sites in West and East Java
- Prior experience with PrEP, long-acting injectables, or other HIV prevention programs (advantage)
- Familiarity with Indonesia's HIV information systems (SI PrEP and/or SIHA) or health facility data extraction experience (advantage)
- Experience supporting regulatory (BPOM) or ethical review (IRB) processes (advantage)
- Experience engaging with community-based organizations or key population networks (advantage)
- Professional working proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (advantage)
