About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end global employee relations caseload, including intake, triage, investigation, resolution, and documentation
  • Conduct impartial and legally sound workplace investigations, including interviewing witnesses, assessing evidence, and delivering findings and recommendations
  • Build and maintain a global ER case management framework with intake channels, escalation paths, SLAs, and documentation standards
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, high-risk, or high-visibility employee relations matters
  • Maintain working knowledge of employment law and employee relations norms across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM
  • Partner with outside employment counsel and localize ER processes, documentation, and communications
  • Design and author global employee relations policies, including progressive discipline, workplace investigations, anti-harassment, non-retaliation, and performance improvement frameworks
  • Review and iterate existing ER policies using case trends, audit findings, and stakeholder feedback
  • Manage version control and localization of global policies
  • Partner with Legal and regional People Business Partners to pilot policy changes and roll out updates
  • Coach people leaders on identifying, documenting, and resolving employee concerns and performance issues
  • Design and deliver ER training for managers and People Business Partners
  • Advise People Business Partners and business leaders on sensitive employee situations, restructurings, and terminations
  • Own ER case data integrity and reporting, tracking trends, cycle times, and outcomes
  • Partner with Legal, Total Rewards, and People Operations on terminations, reductions in force, accommodations, and leave-related matters
  • Prepare ER metrics and trend reporting for People leadership
  • Partner daily with People Business Partners, Talent, Total Rewards, and Legal teams; report into the People leadership team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of progressive employee relations experience
  • At least 2 years supporting employee relations across multiple countries or regions
  • Demonstrated experience leading workplace investigations independently, from intake through resolution and written findings
  • Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals across at least two operating regions: North America, EMEA, APAC, or LATAM
  • Comfort partnering with outside counsel to fill regional knowledge gaps
  • Experience authoring and iterating HR/ER policy from scratch, including piloting changes and incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Track record of coaching and influencing managers and senior leaders through ambiguous, sensitive, or emotionally charged situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex legal or policy nuance into clear guidance for non-HR audiences
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and composure when handling confidential and high-stakes information
  • Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, distributed, and evolving environment
  • Experience working in a tech, SaaS, or other high-growth company is an asset
  • Experience with Works Councils or statutory employee consultation processes in EMEA is an asset
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German is an asset
