About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design specialized, AI-driven workflows for legal domains including Finance, IP, Employment/Labour Law, and Insurance Defense
- Translate domain nuance, including case types, risk profiles, and regulatory context, into product decisions
- Partner with legal architects, subject-matter experts, and legal-industry stakeholders to validate workflows and outputs
- Shape problem definition, prioritization, and product direction with cross-functional stakeholders
- Evaluate Operate capabilities and design patterns for adaptation or rebuilding into Vincent
- Concept, prototype, and deliver design solutions for corporate/in-house counsel and law-firm users
- Conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis for employment and insurance practitioners
- Use metrics to drive product design decisions and measure product success
- Contribute to design critiques and provide feedback to the broader team
- Evolve design patterns and systems supporting complex information architecture at scale
- Break down complex legal concepts into manageable design problems
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in product design
- SaaS or enterprise experience preferred
- Experience designing for complex, information-dense environments including knowledge management, research, or discovery products
- Track record of shipping products that solve research or information workflow challenges and move company metrics
- Proficiency in user research methodologies and translating findings into actionable design insights
- Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, usability, and accessibility
- Experience with modern design tools, including Figma and Figma Make
- Willingness to adopt new tools as needed
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile product development environment
- Experience working on complex systems with large datasets, structured content, or AI-generated outputs
- Keen interest in improving craft using AI
- Familiarity with legal workflows, legal technology platforms, or enterprise SaaS ecosystems is a bonus
- Experience designing for regulated, high-stakes, or compliance-sensitive domains is a bonus
- Experience designing for in-house/corporate legal teams is a bonus
- Candidates must be located in Canada excluding Quebec or the United States
- Candidates near the Toronto or NYC hub are expected to work in the office a minimum of twice per week on designated Anchor Days
