About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and design concepts, prototypes, hi-fidelity mockups, and present solutions solving business and user problems
- Work alongside product management and engineering to identify the right problems and solutions
- Craft a compelling vision with engaging storytelling to drive excitement and alignment
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholder teams to unify experiences across separate products
- Articulate design rationale, ask difficult questions, and challenge assumptions
- Coach and mentor fellow designers on design practices
- Provide thoughtful feedback in team critiques
- Break down complex concepts into manageable pieces
- Write research plans and conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis
- Leverage product data and metrics to drive design decisions and measure product success
- Unify core experiences across Clio's product surfaces as part of the Platform team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related discipline
- Experience as an interactive designer with product experience
- SaaS experience is a bonus
- Track record of successfully shipping products, solving customer problems, moving company metrics, and delivering incremental value with velocity
- Deep understanding of good user experience, IA, and visual design
- Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools
- Practical fluency with AI tools in your workflow (e.g., Figma Make, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
- Strong understanding of web technologies
- Design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design
- Excellent communication and engaging storytelling skills
- Humility plus strong opinions that are loosely held
- Candidates must be based in the US or Canada, excluding Quebec
