Key responsibilities & impact

Build innovative solutions and make an impact as part of the Engineering team
Work with developers to solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions to Clio customers
Work in an Agile environment with full-stack developers across varied projects
Learn new technologies and hone expertise in Ruby on Rails
Lead diverse projects and collaborate with multiple engineering teams across the globe
Review and provide feedback on code within the team and across Clio
Mentor more junior engineers to improve their craft and efficiency
Collaborate across Clio to diagnose, understand, and solve problems
Build solutions spanning multiple areas of the organization
Teach and learn from colleagues by providing and receiving constructive feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in software development, specifically building web applications at scale using Ruby on Rails
Ability to gain fluency in new technologies quickly and work effectively in an ever-evolving environment with distributed teams and customers
Demonstrated success in mentorship in software development, particularly using an Agile process and with large-scale SaaS products
Diverse base of knowledge to help solve complex technical problems
History of past projects, including notable successes and lessons learned
Clear communication skills and ability to build high-trust relationships with colleagues and customers
Keen interest in improving craft by using AI
Professional experience building search systems, typically as a Search, Relevance or IR engineer
Experience working with and processing large volumes of data
