About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive key architectural decisions across the stack and own feature development end-to-end
Integrate LLMs and ML models into real-world production workflows, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, prompt execution, agentic systems, and fine-tuned models
Build scalable systems while balancing immediate investment against future growth
Create performant APIs and internal services powering the product end-to-end
Ensure reliability, security, and a seamless customer experience
Develop new features and capabilities for Clipbook’s 200+ customers
Collaborate within a small engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years building and scaling production systems
Strong backend fundamentals in services, data models, and distributed systems, with deeper expertise in one or more areas
Genuine excitement to build quickly and ship fast
Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with AWS or GCP
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Excellent communication skills
Depth in one or more of: Spark, Kafka, Flink, BigQuery, streaming pipelines, ETL at scale, high-volume scaling, fault tolerance, eventual consistency, LLMs in production, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, inference optimization, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and high-concurrency systems
