About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provision, configure, scale, and monitor SQL warehouses on Kubernetes
Design and build Go backend services, including OpenAPI-defined REST and gRPC APIs, long-running lifecycle workflows, and PostgreSQL-backed state
Build Kubernetes operators for running Trino from custom resources, including controllers, CRD design, layered configuration, and Helm-based deployment
Build React and TypeScript web applications for managing warehouses, browsing catalogs, and monitoring queries and cluster health
Own features end to end from design through testing, rollout, and production support
Deploy containerized services across Kubernetes flavors such as EKS, AKS, and OpenShift
Write design documentation for key features and capabilities
Improve code quality through tests, automation, and code reviews
Understand customer workloads and provide effective technical solutions
Collaborate in a distributed team of full-stack engineers and on cross-functional projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of relevant industry experience designing and developing enterprise software
Strong understanding of scaling and performance
Strong data structures and algorithms skills
Strong Go experience required
Experience building Kubernetes operators with client-go and controller-runtime or kubebuilder, including CRD design and Helm
Experience building backend services with OpenAPI-defined REST or gRPC APIs and PostgreSQL
Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript
Working knowledge of SQL and operating a query engine such as Trino or similar engines
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively on cross-functional projects
Java experience is desired
Experience with service meshes such as Istio and Kubernetes autoscaling (KEDA) is a plus
Experience with Kerberos, LDAP or SAML, Apache Ranger, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry is a plus
Experience with Redux, TypeScript adoption in JavaScript codebases, Playwright or Jest is a plus
Experience with GitOps and OCI registries is a plus
