About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and ship features as part of a self-organised Scrum team
- Pair with experienced engineers and work with a mentor
- Write clean, testable and well-documented code
- Investigate and fix bugs
- Participate in code reviews
- Use AI-assisted development tools under guidance and verify their output
- Share regular progress updates with the team and stakeholders
- Develop features and products using TypeScript, NodeJS, React and AWS microservices
- Contribute to test-driven development and full CI/CD practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some hands-on development experience; internships, bootcamp, degree projects or personal projects count
- Exposure to JavaScript
- Curiosity about both backend and frontend work
- Interest in learning TypeScript, NodeJS, React, AWS and test-driven development
- Strong communication
- Genuine appetite to learn and improve
- Familiarity or willingness to learn microservices on AWS, including Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway and SQS
- Familiarity or willingness to learn full CI/CD
- Willingness to use AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and Cursor
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with at least two days per week in the office
- Must be based in Romania, as the role is listed for Cluj, Romania
