About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own technical design and delivery for engagements or workstreams from discovery through release
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and integrations
- Design integration and data architecture, including API and event-driven patterns, middleware, data migration, and large data volumes
- Translate business requirements and user stories into technical designs and specifications
- Advise client stakeholders on design trade-offs, platform constraints, and risks
- Oversee delivery quality through code reviews, design reviews, and development standards
- Own the development lifecycle, including environment strategy, version control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment
- Provide developers and consultants with technical guidance and mentorship, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Collaborate with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and delivery teams
- Manage technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies
- Support pre-sales by scoping technical solutions, estimating effort, and explaining proposed approaches
- Improve solution quality, delivery efficiency, and technical standards across engagements
- Complete an applicant assessment after submitting a resume
Requirements
What you’ll need- US-based candidates only; candidates must currently live in the United States
- Full-time, direct hire; no C2C, contract, or agency submissions
- Extensive experience architecting and developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Prior hands-on Salesforce experience required
- Existing Salesforce technical certifications mandatory
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and technical delivery, including 2+ years in a consulting environment
- Experience as the technical lead on complex enterprise implementations with multiple business units, stakeholder groups, and connected systems
- Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow
- Strong understanding of platform limits and performance, including governor limits, asynchronous processing (Batch, Queueable, Platform Events), and large data volumes
- Integration design experience with REST and SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware such as MuleSoft or Informatica
- Experience designing Salesforce sharing and security models
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and common design patterns (Apex, Java, Python, or similar)
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Git-based source control, Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing, including well-structured Apex unit tests
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
- Strong client-facing communication skills and confidence leading technical workshops and design reviews
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and other common enterprise business applications
- Required certification: Salesforce Platform Developer II
- Candidates should be open to and capable of accommodating 25–50% travel
- Experience with business processes in areas such as quote-to-cash, service, or sales operations is a plus
- Experience maintaining legacy Visualforce and Aura code is a plus
- Preferred certifications: Salesforce System Architect or Application Architect
