About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute targeted geographical outreach and schedule business meetings via email and telephone for new business sales teams
- Call on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to qualify sales-readiness, set appointments, and hand off qualified prospects for discovery calls
- Provide sales teams with necessary information when following up with qualified leads
- Create, maintain, and update accounts, contacts, hunts, tasks, and activities in CRM software
- Manage inbound lead traffic from the website and sales-line calls or voicemails; document, follow up, and set appointments for qualified leads
- Build working knowledge of the industry, target clients, and key decision-makers
- Stay current with Business Unit messaging and solution value propositions
- Understand the competitive landscape and competitor products to improve prospect conversations
- Answer prospect questions about the business and its competitive advantages
- Work toward outreach, qualified meeting, and pipeline contribution goals while maintaining lead quality
- Assist with coordinating speaking engagements at regional industry chapter meetings to build awareness and drive new leads
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to ask thoughtful questions and listen to customer needs
- Comfort initiating conversations with prospective customers by phone and email
- Ability to organize prospecting activity, manage multiple leads, and follow through on commitments
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to assess customer needs and determine appropriate next steps using established guidance
- Self-motivation, persistence, and openness to feedback and coaching
- Ability to collaborate with Sales and Marketing and learn new products and systems
- One or more years of sales prospecting experience, preferably with a technology company
- Experience using CRM software or sales outreach tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Must reside in the United States, have full working rights, and not require sponsorship
