About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Understand customers and shape product problems using internal input, user research, and qualitative and quantitative feedback
Use AI tools to synthesize research, identify themes and analyze usage data while validating outputs against source material
Identify product improvement opportunities and assess market needs and customer preferences
Produce UX/UI designs supporting the roadmap across the product family
Use AI-assisted workflows for exploration, prototyping, edge cases and states
Present design concepts to product, engineering, QA, cross-functional teams, customers and prospects
Incorporate feedback and revise designs as customer preferences change
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineers and QA to improve products and processes
Review AI-assisted builds for design fidelity, accessibility and consistency
Maintain and evolve the multi-product design system and design library, including components, tokens and guidelines
Build and maintain AI skills, prompts and templates supporting rapid prototyping
Document design principles, patterns, components and research
Share reusable workflows and coach the wider team on effective AI use for design
Design AI-powered product experiences that set expectations, explain reasoning, preserve user control, handle mistakes and build trust
Follow responsible AI policies for customer and company data
Monitor AI design trends and recommend useful tools and techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in all phases of the design process: user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design and usability testing
Well-rounded portfolio demonstrating understanding of customer and business objectives
Intuitive understanding of customer needs
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work autonomously
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and scopes
Strong creative and problem-solving skills
Experience with Figma or another collaborative interface design tool
Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, graphic design or a related field, or relevant experience (4+ years)
5+ years of relevant design experience, including UX/UI
Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in design work
Ability to write clear prompts and critically evaluate AI output
Understanding of AI-powered feature behavior, variable output and errors
Curiosity and willingness to adapt as AI tools and team practices evolve
Experience building or maintaining a multi-product design system, including components and design tokens (preferred)
Experience designing B2B software, vertical SaaS or payments experiences (preferred)
Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) (preferred)
Experience prototyping with AI-assisted or code-based tools (preferred)
Must reside in the United States, have full working rights and not require sponsorship
