About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) analysis on electronic equipment
- Perform MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) prediction
- Conduct FMEA/FMECA to identify how component-level faults impact high-level functions
- Perform testability analysis to evaluate fault detection and isolation
- Collaborate with designers and influence design to meet RAM requirements
- Review designs from a RAM standpoint
- Recommend design improvements in cooperation with developers
- Participate in defining the RAM process
- Review RAM deliverables prepared by other team members
- Ensure RAM objectives are met for Clue products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree level (or equivalent) in electronics
- 5+ years of experience as a RAM engineer
- Focus on analog, power, and digital electronic design analysis
- Proficiency in software tools for MTBF Prediction
- Proficiency in statistics
- Proficiency using Excel and Excel macros (VBA)
- Knowledge of FIDES and MIL-HDBK-217 standards
- Fluent written and oral English and Spanish
- Valuable: Experience using BQR fiXtress
- Valuable: Experience in the aerospace or defense field
- Valuable: Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-781, MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-HDBK-2165, and MIL-STD-1629
- Valuable: Knowledge of system design based on requirements
- Valuable: Knowledge of aerospace standards
