About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Check the community daily, review flagged posts and comments, and act according to the Community Manager's direction and guidelines
- Decide whether to stay out, comment, move posts, remove content or ban members, providing clear reasons
- Protect anonymity by removing identifying information and escalating possible GDPR issues
- Remove clinical advice and unverified health claims from the community
- Follow the crisis protocol when a member may be at risk
- Escalate unclear cases, appeals and threats to the Community Manager
- Log every removal, ban and monitoring decision in the shared moderation sheet
- Write moderator replies in Clue's voice when appropriate
- Direct questions to Customer Support or other teams using standard replies
- Pass feedback to the Product and Science teams
- Support preparation of the weekly report and monthly rules review
- Work closely with the Community Manager, Customer Support, Science, Product and other teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some experience moderating or supporting an online community, forum or social channel; volunteer experience counts
- Excellent written English
- Calm, steady judgement on sensitive topics
- Discretion and a strong sense of privacy
- Comfort following guidelines closely and confidence to flag cases that do not fit them
- Curiosity about AI tools
- Organised and reliable; able to log decisions, maintain a daily rhythm and follow through
- Nice to have: interest in reproductive health or women's health
- Nice to have: basic knowledge of GDPR or the EU Digital Services Act
- Nice to have: mental health first aid or crisis-awareness training
- Nice to have: experience with Slack, Google Sheets or community platforms
- Nice to have: another language
