About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take AI agents from sold to live and performing at specific credit unions
- Participate in discovery sessions with credit unions
- Build integrations to core banking and loan origination systems
- Author and tune agent behavior, including prompts, tools, and evaluations
- Run live tests with credit union staff
- Support agents through go-live and the first weeks of production
- Write production code weekly in integrations, modules, and agents
- Collaborate with engineers, pod leads, product managers, AI Operations Managers, and AI sales specialists
- Own the technical side of credit union implementations end to end
- Run evaluation and tuning loops using golden transcripts, rubric judges, and regression suites
- Conduct on-site visits and convert field feedback into product decisions
- Contribute reusable capabilities to the Agents Platform
- Create implementation playbooks for AI Operations teams
- Travel to customer sites when in-person involvement is needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment
- Senior TypeScript and Node.js backend experience in a large codebase
- Experience with NestJS, CQRS, schema-validated boundaries, and dependency injection
- Integration and API engineering experience, including secure service-to-service endpoints, third-party APIs, webhooks, and legacy banking systems
- Knowledge of OAuth, machine-to-machine authentication, tenant-scoped access, secrets handling, and preventing PII in logs
- Ability to work directly with customers and make technical recommendations
- Willingness to travel roughly 20% on average, including one- to two-week stretches around kickoffs and go-lives
- Based in the United States and able to travel on short notice
- Genuine interest in LLM agents and evaluation discipline for non-deterministic systems
- Voice and telephony, Temporal or event-driven orchestration, Python, core banking or LOS integration, and credit union or banking domain knowledge are nice to have but explicitly not required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
