About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan dining events
  • Manage food and beverage service
  • Attend to guest requests and complaints
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are presented and served correctly, including special requests and instructions on BEOs
  • Communicate schedule changes, challenges, and adverse comments to the culinary chef and catering manager
  • Ensure staff return equipment to storage areas and leave the room clean and tidy
  • Supervise banquet staff assigned to events
  • Prepare rooms for functions or events before guest arrival
  • Review and implement table and seating diagrams
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Assist with reasonable bar back duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
  • Outstanding customer service skills required
  • Must be flexible and have reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires bending, lifting, standing, and squatting for long periods
  • Good communication skills and ability to multi-task
  • Previous banquet experience preferred
  • Previous hotel experience a plus
  • Clean Background Check
