About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead reviews of clearing firms and their risk management functions
  • Serve as an expert on CME Market Risk practices, principles, systems, and tools, including SPAN and SPAN2
  • Monitor markets and take appropriate actions to manage risk
  • Review and adjust margin requirements in SPAN and SPAN2 margin frameworks
  • Produce reports and analysis for Clearing House Risk Senior Management and in response to market events
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis projects for the Clearing House, wider business, and regulatory bodies such as the CFTC
  • Present findings to senior management and regulators
  • Lead market risk projects to enhance systems and develop and implement risk measurement strategies
  • Contribute to junior team members’ growth through knowledge sharing, feedback, and delegation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA or BS required; MBA a plus
  • 6-8+ years’ experience in a risk management, mid-office, or related area
  • Preferably experience in Energy, Metals, or Agriculture markets
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python is a plus
  • Working knowledge of AI tools is a plus
