About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform technical activities involving the assembly, installation, maintenance, adjustment, and testing of mechanical systems, equipment, and components
- Plan and organize activities, work sequences, required resources, and priorities
- Plan and execute the handling, lifting, and positioning of machinery, sensitive equipment, and large loads, assessing resources, lifting points, interferences, risks, and safety conditions
- Work independently and provide technical support on more complex activities and projects
- Analyze technical data and information to support execution decisions and strategies
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems
- Propose technical solutions and action plans, monitor implementation, and evaluate results
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and engineering documentation
- Participate in projects, contributing to planning, execution, monitoring, and problem resolution
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and reliability
- Use data, flowcharts, records, and analysis tools to support continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership for small initiatives or specific project phases
- Share knowledge and support less experienced professionals
- Work collaboratively with different departments, communicating progress, challenges, risks, and support needs
- Work in accordance with internal procedures, quality requirements, and health and safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical education in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience in the assembly, installation, maintenance, or integration of mechanical systems
- Experience handling, lifting, positioning, and installing machinery, sensitive equipment, and large and/or high-load-capacity components
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Knowledge of instruments and tools used in mechanical assembly, adjustment, and maintenance
- Experience identifying and resolving technical problems
- Knowledge of safety practices applicable to assembly, load handling, and maintenance activities
- Experience assembling and integrating precision equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of dimensional metrology and alignment techniques is preferred
- Experience with vacuum systems is preferred
- Experience in research, technological development, or scientific facilities is preferred
- Knowledge of process analysis and improvement tools and methodologies is preferred
- Experience monitoring or providing technical leadership for assembly and installation activities is preferred
