About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate research projects in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of wound dressings and tissue repair solutions, preferably for ophthalmic applications
  • Support the translation of scientific knowledge into clinical and technological applications in healthcare
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and monitoring of research and development projects aligned with CNPEM’s strategic priorities
  • Supervise students, fellows, and collaborators involved in research activities
  • Prepare research proposals, scientific publications, technical-scientific reports, and other institutional deliverables
  • Contribute to monitoring the goals, performance indicators, and deliverables of the Division of Advanced Health Technologies Centers
  • Establish and strengthen scientific and technological collaborations with national and international institutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed postdoctoral training in areas related to Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience in regenerative medicine, including the development and evaluation of wound dressings and tissue repair solutions
  • Experience in translational research applied to healthcare
  • Knowledge of strategies for translating scientific knowledge into clinical practice
  • Track record of participating in research and development projects
  • Experience preparing scientific publications and research proposals
  • Experience supervising students and training research personnel
  • Advanced English proficiency
