About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end systems design for key scanning engine components
Design and implement maintainable, well-tested, and observable Python and Go services
Improve performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale distributed scanning workloads
Partner with security, product, and data teams to build production-ready systems and APIs
Drive code quality, secure coding practices, design documentation, and code review standards
Contribute to scanning platform architecture and roadmap decisions
Diagnose and resolve production issues involving scanning performance, accuracy, and stability
Mentor engineers through design feedback, pairing, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience as a Senior Software Engineer (or equivalent) working on backend or systems-level services
Proficiency in at least one of Python or Go, with the ability and willingness to work in both languages over time
Demonstrated experience with systems design for distributed or high-availability services, including scalability, reliability, and observability
Hands-on experience building or maintaining scanning, detection, or similar engine-like systems
Strong software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and performance optimization
Experience working in a cloud-native environment, including microservices, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging
Ability to collaborate across product, security, and platform/infra teams and communicate tradeoffs clearly
Proven track record of owning projects end-to-end
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining quality and security
Experience with testing, static analysis, code reviews, and building maintainable systems
