About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer to maximize sales and profitability through strategy implementation, analysis, and reaction to sales trends
- Work under the general supervision of the Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer
- Operate independently within CSC/CGX policies, procedures, and regulations
- Exercise independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations
- Consult with supervisor on policy matters, procedural deviations, and unusual situations
- Maintain professionalism and courteous behavior while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors and internal and external colleagues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Performance evaluated on operational performance, skills, customer service, collaboration, teamwork, leadership, and individual objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Two years general experience in merchandising, administration or an Associate’s degree
- Experience in Microsoft Office with basic Excel experience
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required
- Non-U.S. nationals must be authorized to work in the U.S. and, for DHS positions, must have resided within the United States or U.S. territories for at least three of the last five years
- Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check and all pre-employment requirements, which may include background checks, security clearances, drug testing, and employment-history verification
- Males born after 12/31/59 and at least 18 years of age must be registered with the Selective Service System unless exempt
- Resume or written application must be submitted in English
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in retail, business administration, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience working in a team/collaborative environment
- Preferred: Experience with business analysis
- Preferred: Advanced Excel skills
- Preferred: Experience with Merchandise Information System in a multi-store environment
- Preferred: Retail store or E-Commerce experience in sales, merchandising, or customer service
