About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys
- Prepare, revise, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials
- Assist with electronic filings in state and federal courts
- Maintain attorney calendars and track court dates, filing deadlines, meetings, and other critical dates
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, client meetings, and conference calls
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files
- Assist with opening new matters, conflict checks, and engagement documentation
- Prepare expense reports, process invoices, and assist with monthly billing
- Coordinate attorney travel and prepare itineraries
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside parties
- Provide administrative backup and support to other attorneys and practice groups as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience, preferably supporting litigation attorneys
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with document management, time-entry, and billing systems
- Excellent proofreading, grammar, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
