About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, analyze, and evaluate complex healthcare systems, operational workflows, and clinical/administrative requirements
- Improve member and patient experiences
- Formulate and implement enterprise technology solutions using Salesforce Health Cloud and the broader Salesforce ecosystem
- Support clients’ care delivery, patient access, member engagement, and digital health strategies
- Drive clinical and business discovery sessions
- Map healthcare workflows
- Design compliance-minded process improvements
- Build health data models
- Deliver detailed functional designs
- Lead key workstreams and manage discrete project engagements
- Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare leaders
- Design, configure, and implement custom Salesforce solutions across Payer and Provider environments
- Lead discovery workshops and translate healthcare operations into requirements, process flows, and technical designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional Coastal and client teams
- Exercise independent judgment on small-to-medium engagements or lead major workstreams on large enterprise transformations
- Oversee Salesforce administration, configuration, data modeling, data migration, and integration strategies
- Facilitate alignment across clinical, administrative, operational, IT, and compliance stakeholders
- Deliver structured communications and value-driven technical demonstrations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of total professional experience, including at least 2+ years in consulting
- Direct experience delivering technology solutions within Payer or Provider spaces
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Health Cloud
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare workflows, including care coordination, patient acquisition, member services, or network operations
- Active Salesforce Administrator certification required
- Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional or additional Salesforce Consultant certifications preferred
- Solid understanding of healthcare data models and HIPAA compliance considerations
- Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and APIs
- Fundamental understanding of enterprise architecture, SaaS best practices, and multi-system data flows
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage project deliverables, solve complex healthcare problems, and lead workstreams with minimal direct supervision
- Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel with client or project team as needed
