Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the engineering and technical health of mission-critical .NET backends, driving high availability, security, and scalability across distributed 3-tier and microservices architectures
Design, build, and optimize robust RESTful API integrations
Take ownership of SQL database environments, architect clean schemas, author complex stored procedures, and execute performance tuning
Reverse-engineer legacy components, modernize legacy codebases, and introduce clean architecture standards
Conduct comprehensive code reviews
Provide technical mentorship to mid and junior engineers
Produce production-ready system documentation
Collaborate directly with U.S. client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into resilient technical implementations

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of backend engineering experience
Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-grade backend systems in fast-paced software environments
Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Core / .NET 5+, and ASP.NET Web API
Hands-on experience with 3-tier and microservices paradigms
Solid experience managing SQL databases, indexing strategies, complex query optimization, and schema design for data-heavy platforms
Solid experience with GCP or equivalent cloud-native platforms
Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Git workflows
Prior experience operating in nearshore/offshore engagement models within high-growth, client-facing startup environments
Advanced professional verbal and written English skills
Confidence to lead architectural discussions directly with North American engineering leadership
