About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test suites, and complex edge-case scenarios across web and mobile platforms
Perform functional, regression, integration, and RESTful API testing
Validate APIs and systems using Postman, Charles Proxy, and Swagger
Log, track, and prioritize complex defects in Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail
Partner with developers to drive root-cause resolutions
Identify repeat testing flows suitable for test automation transition
Collaborate with automation engineers to define robust script requirements
Execute SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and verify state transitions
Drive test case reviews and lead risk assessment sessions
Provide technical mentorship to mid-level and junior QA engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of dedicated software quality assurance experience with a primary focus on manual testing in fast-paced, client-facing software environments
Deep expertise in functional, regression, boundary, exploratory, and acceptance testing
Hands-on proficiency in API testing using Postman, Swagger, and Charles Proxy
Foundational understanding of automation concepts and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or basic scripting
High proficiency with Jira, Zephyr, and TestRail
Solid SQL skills for database validation
Strong ownership mentality, exceptional attention to detail, proactive risk detection, and analytical troubleshooting capabilities
Advanced English skills, both written and spoken, mandatory for direct collaboration with U.S.-based product managers and engineering leaders
