About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and Node.js
Build API integrations that export and apply translated content using XLIFF
Troubleshoot and resolve content model, identifier, and integration edge cases
Develop solutions for structured content transformation across multiple services
Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams
Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code following backend engineering best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in backend software development
Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js
Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of API integration and backend service architecture
Experience working with structured content, document transformation, or data processing
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience with XLIFF and localization workflows (nice to have)
Familiarity with Okapi Framework (nice to have)
Experience working with XML and similar structured markup formats (nice to have)
Exposure to content management or localization platforms (nice to have)
Relevant certifications in backend development or localization technologies (nice to have)
Required skills: NodeJS, Python, XML, API Design, XLIFF, OKAPI, Terraform
Must be based in the Philippines
