About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own administration, optimization, and integration strategy for the company’s core financial systems, with NetSuite as the system of record
  • Administer NetSuite users, roles, workflows, saved searches, custom fields/records, dashboards, chart of accounts, subsidiaries, and intercompany elimination structures
  • Support multi-entity/multi-currency consolidation
  • Manage NetSuite releases, sandbox testing, and change control
  • Develop and modify NetSuite reports and saved searches
  • Translate accounting and process needs into scalable NetSuite configurations
  • Administer Navan, Tipalti, and Avalara, including users, permissions, approval workflows, policies, rules, vendors, and tax settings
  • Maintain integrations between NetSuite and Navan, Tipalti, UKG, and Avalara
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, sync errors, and mapping discrepancies
  • Coordinate with vendor support teams to resolve system issues
  • Evaluate new integrations, middleware, and API connections
  • Document data flows, field mappings, and system dependencies
  • Support employee end users with Navan, Tipalti, and Avalara questions
  • Identify manual accounting processes and design automated solutions
  • Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows using Claude or similar tools
  • Develop lightweight tools and scripts, including Excel automation and low-code apps
  • Track efficiency gains and error reduction from automation initiatives
  • Liaise with IT, HR, and AP/Treasury teams on financial-data system changes
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close by ensuring integrations post accurately and on time
  • Assist with audit requests related to system controls, access, and data integrity
  • Train accounting staff on tools, automations, and system functionality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance systems
  • Hands-on NetSuite administration experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing at least one of Navan, Tipalti, UKG, or Avalara, or comparable T&E, AP, HRIS/payroll, or tax platforms
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including GL, AP, payroll journal entries, and intercompany/consolidation concepts
  • Comfort working with APIs, integration platforms, or middleware concepts
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for practical business/accounting use cases
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment
  • NetSuite certification (Administrator or SuiteFoundation) preferred
  • SQL or scripting experience a plus
  • Background in a controllership or accounting operations function
  • Detail-oriented
  • Full-time availability
