About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the integrity, reliability, and compliance of accounting information
Ensure the accurate recording and analysis of financial transactions in accordance with accounting and regulatory standards
Provide strategic support for decision-making
Execute and review highly complex accounting processes
Perform monthly and annual financial close activities
Prepare account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
Support the Tax team with tax reviews and reconciliations
Prepare and provide information for internal and external audits
Serve as a point of contact for questions and guidance
Prepare management reports and financial presentations
Recommend improvements to accounting processes and the use of tools and systems
Provide technical support to the accounting team
Engage with international stakeholders in meetings and English-language reporting
Collaborate with the Tax, Finance, HR, and Controllership teams
Ensure deadlines and delivery quality are met
Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Active CRC registration
At least 5 years of experience in accounting
In-depth knowledge of accounting reconciliations, Brazilian GAAP, and IFRS
Experience supporting audits and preparing financial reports
Experience in the education sector is a plus
Ability to operate ERP systems
Familiarity with accounting and financial solutions
Fluent English is mandatory for communication with headquarters and report preparation
Knowledge of TOTVS systems
