About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review pricing feeds from third-party pricing data providers against internal benchmarks and investigate anomalies
  • Sift through large bond and loan price and reference datasets to identify, prioritize, and resolve outliers
  • Calculate and validate bond and loan pricing data at scale
  • Trace capital structures and inter-company relationships to ensure aggregate-level data integrity
  • Build automated algorithms to reduce manual reviews and checks
  • Document and escalate recurring data quality issues to pricing vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Interact with leading investment firms to answer questions about data and product functionality
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure accurate market data delivery to clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in evaluated pricing, independent price verification (IPV), fixed income valuations/trade support, or credit fund NAV pricing
  • Work experience as an investment bank IPV or vendor-side pricing analyst
  • Strong familiarity with bond and loan reference data syntax and pricing feed structures
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including building complex spreadsheets with Macros/Apps Scripts
  • Demonstrated ability to work through large, messy datasets to identify pricing outliers and data errors
  • Strong academic track record; sharp analytical and quantitative reasoning
  • General interest in technology, especially as applied to financial market data
  • Coding experience in Python, SQL, or a similar language for data analysis is a plus
  • Understanding of corporate capital structures is a plus
  • Ability to calculate YTM, YTW, z-spread, Macaulay and Modified duration, and PV01
  • Understanding of bond and loan pricing conventions, including clean vs. dirty price, accrued interest, and day count
  • Ability to leverage AI technologies
  • Ability to work independently and with strong attention to detail
