About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Finance operating and accounting teams
- Own the Israeli accounting function and ensure timely, accurate and compliant financial reporting under US GAAP and Israeli statutory requirements
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes for Israeli entities
- Maintain and strengthen SOX and internal controls over financial reporting
- Oversee finance operations, processes, controls and governance across the Israel Finance organization
- Lead Israeli statutory reporting and audit processes
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel and other professional advisors
- Partner with Global Accounting, Business Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal and other stakeholders
- Support budgeting and forecasting with accounting, operational and financial information
- Standardize, simplify and automate finance processes
- Improve the speed and quality of financial close through better processes, systems, reconciliations and reporting
- Lead and support cross-functional and global Finance projects, including financial systems and process implementations
- Develop Finance team capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, succession planning and professional development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Significant experience in a public-company or multinational environment
- Experience in a Controller, Finance Director or similar leadership role
- CPA qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of Israeli statutory accounting requirements and financial reporting
- Strong experience with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting
- Experience managing accounting close, statutory reporting and external audits
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading, developing and motivating finance professionals
- Strong business partnering and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Strong understanding of financial systems and ERP environments
- Demonstrated experience improving or implementing finance processes and systems
