About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and review complex individual, trust, estate, partnership, and entity tax returns
- Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth preservation, estate and succession planning, charitable giving, family governance, and closely held business interests
- Coordinate tax planning across individuals, trusts, partnerships, LLCs, private investments, and family-owned operating entities
- Serve as a technical resource on complex tax issues affecting high-net-worth families, family offices, estates, trusts, and multi-entity structures
- Identify planning opportunities related to income taxation, liquidity events, investment activities, wealth transfer, and legacy planning
- Monitor tax law and regulatory developments and advise clients on implications
- Review research and planning analyses for quality client deliverables and recommendations
- Serve as primary relationship leader and trusted advisor for family office clients and high-net-worth families
- Collaborate with attorneys, investment advisors, bankers, insurance professionals, and other external advisors
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and grow the Family Office practice
- Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff
- Review work product across engagement teams
- Partner with leadership on staffing, workflow management, process improvement, and team development
- Support training, knowledge sharing, recruiting, and practice-building efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- CPA license preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including significant experience serving high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses
- Experience managing complex tax compliance and consulting engagements across multiple entity types
- Ability to lead client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to affluent families and business owners
- Strong knowledge of individual, trust, estate, partnership, and family office taxation
- Excellent communication, relationship management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high-touch client experience
- Proficiency with tax software, research tools, and Microsoft Office
